This post is going to be a bit different.
There are only so many hours in a day and I’m usually so focused on getting my work done I can never kick back and blog about ‘Life’ in general.
But it’s Friday and just felt like writing something that I think about literally every single day.
I figured it never hurts to add a bit more positivity to the world.
I just wanted to talk to you about getting things done and why so many people have a hard time just getting started.
Getting started with basically anything that’s going to take some work and commitment.
I can’t tell you how many people I have seen throughout the years come to me with excitement about making changes.
They are ready to finally ready to get to work and fix their life.
But then after just a few days, weeks, some make it a few months then they just quit and POOF they are gone.
Why is that?
It’s because MOST things that will make your life better take work and sometimes it even hurts to get results.
95% of the population are living the day to day struggle and nobody seems to believe there is a way out.
Guess what… THERE IS…
First thing I want you to do is:
Write Down What You Would Like To Fix About Your Life
Seriously I want you to WRITE IT DOWN.
Go grab a piece of paper and WRITE IT DOWN.
I’m not joking.
Remember the brain is the general the troops is the body.
You have to get up and you do it.
Example #1 You want to Lose Weight?
Stop looking for the quick fix.
Start eating healthy, eat salads, drink water, exercise.
Lay off the cake and cookies at night and sitting on your couch watching TV for hours.
Our bodies (most people) for whatever reason is to avoid anything that is uncomfortable.
If nobody has ever told you this but basically anything that will improve your life is usually attached to some discomfort.
Discomfort is your friend.
Discomfort and not being content with certain situations in life is usually associated with getting to the next level in basically everything.
One of the big problems is sitting down and doing the work.
Most times people have a great idea but they never take that first step.
Example #2 Starting a Business
Do you know how many people start a business every day and fail?
I don’t have the exact number but it’s a lot.
Tens of thousands I’d guess.
It is truly amazing how many people I have seen start a business and do nothing.
They spend the money but nothing ever comes of it.
Why is that?
One of the big problems is sitting down and doing the work.
Anyone can whip out a credit card and start a business.
Building the business is where the rubber meets the road.
If you are one of these people you have to learn how to overcome resistance.
a PRO Goes To Work
It doesn’t matter if you’re sick it doesn’t matter if you have kids or anything like that.
You’re a PRO and you get to work.
When you can take that one step no matter what guess what that does?
It puts it in your head that this is what you do.
You look at the computer screen and start watching the videos and following the steps to put your business together.
Now you’re doing the work.
You now have PRIDE that you accomplished something aside from spending some money.
You are growing and now a bit stronger.
Guess What?
Out Of That Work Gems Blossom
There will always be these THINGS that try and keep you from doing these things.
Someone once told me all distractions are created equal.
The key to life is to FIGHT the resistance.
Not to give in to the resistance and quit what you are trying to accomplish.
Everyday in doing so you have won the battle for that day.
We ALL continue to fight the battle and guess what.
The battle will go on for your entire life.
Depending what level you are at in your life you will still fight the resistance to get to another level and it never ends.
Take a doctor for example.
Does that person just go from high school to doing surgery.
Of course not.
He or she spent years of their life and sacrificing in so many different ways to become a doctor.
So getting to a new level may be a bit different for them but you can always improve no matter who you are.
You Can Be The Hero Of Your Own Story
Be that person that says I’m not doing this anymore.
We all have those demons that try and pull you away from being the hero.
It doesn’t matter I could give you a thousand examples.
Whether if it’s those cookies you love to eat, cigarettes, booze, pills, staying at some job because you’re comfortable at least that’s what you tell yourself.
You have to be dead honest with yourself stop making up excuses all the time.
You decide who you are.
Always remember that people must realize most of all you that you are not your past.
You are not that person that maybe got drunk, or got in trouble with the law, or said something wrong, or made some sort of mistake.
Be the person who has learned from a great deal of experience and become who you deserve to be.
Let’s Go!
