Raining Dates Review: Legit Or Dating Service Scam

September 26, 2016 By Josh Paiva Leave a Comment

Spread the love

raining datesIt’s possible someone has contacted you about the Raining Dates MLM opportunity.  If that is the case you have come to the right place.

I think you’ll agree with me when I say:

It’s REALLY hard to find a SOLID MLM opportunity that’s trending and worth your time and money to invest.  Do you agree?

If so keep reading and see if the Raining Dates opportunity is right for you!

The Raining Dates Review

First step is to take a closer look at a companies website and see who’s running things.

There are two admins registered under the Raining Dates website “rainingdates.com” and their names are Georgetta Monroe and Timothy L. Drobnick Sr.

As it looks both Georgetta and Timothy are co owners of Raining Dates.

What’s the real story?

Well it’s important to note that Timothy has been around and involved with MLM for years.

He has an interesting past.  In 1995 he dropped EVERYTHING to go full time with internet marketing.

Timothy is operating Raining Dates through his “PEEL MARKETING” company.

Here is a screen shot of what we found:

raining dates peel inc

As you can see above their website is registered under PEEL Inc.  It’s very common for websites to be under a company such as this, private or someones personal name.

Drobnick doesn’t seem to be hiding his Raining Dates company or his personal information.  His company is in Ohio with a phone and email.

That’s not all…

After searching around a bit we also found out that Tim owns  WOM Vegas website which also operates through PEEL Marketing.

As you can see in the screen shot above Timothy launched WOM on June 19th, 2010.  His WOM site is in good standing with Google and has a bit of age which is a good thing.

Not to say that’s going to happen with Raining Dates however it’s always a plus to see an owner has a bit of credibility.

Timothy Drobnick – Other Projects

Just recently we also found out Drobnick was operating some sort of a tax return business.  Don’t have all the details on that.

raining dates drobnickDigging a bit more Drobnick has also made some claims of building network marketing downlines upwards of 200,000 distributors.

After reaching out to some friends in the industry and searching the net I was unable to find any proof of this.

We found out that Monroe does not own PEEL with Drobnick but work on various projects together.

We don’t know the extent of their business relationship but they seem to have worked together for a number of years.

Seems like a relatively nice guy.

Or is he?

Raining Dates – Product

Their Raining Dates website can only be accessed by setting up a free account.  We have done this so you can understand the process.  As soon as you sign up they send you over a confirmation email.

Here is what it looks like:

raining dates email

I blacked out the affiliate link just for privacy purposes. When you click on the confirmation link it brings you over to their website.

This is what the back office looks like:

raining dates backoffice

Looks like a pretty standard dating service.  Choosing if your a man or women, age, ethnicity etc.  You will also notice as of today, September 26, 2016 the Raining Dates website is not OPEN FOR BUSINESS as of yet!

Raining Dates will be charging $10 one time fee for an entire year.

If you’ve ever tried a dating service it’s pretty standard how they work. You can set up a profile and look around but you cannot private message any of the members.  Raining Dates works the same.

Raining Dates – Compensation Plan

If you’re single I guess this all sounds cool.  But how can you actually make money with Drobnick’s website?

Look:

Yearly memberships cost $10. These fees will be directly paid to the referring affiliate.

Drobnick is using a unilevel compensation plan.  It’s fairly simple how it works.

Here is a unilevel diagram:

raining dates unilevel

Lets say “Bob” recruits “Sue” into the Raining Dates service. Whether Sue is interested in the product or the business she is placed on Bob’s first level.

Now Sue starts looking around and realized there is a business model attached to the dating service.  She decides to recruit a couple of her friends.  Sue’s friends go on her first level and on Bob’s second level.

100% of commission are paid out to the referrer using a 1-up plan.

A 1-up plan is not so common.  What happens is every odd sale goes to the referrer.  Even sales get passed up to the affiliate who recruited them into the business.

Pass ups continue across the entire compensation plan.  All affiliates must also pass up their personal “even” sales.  It continues as far down as the comp plan goes.

Recruiting Commissions

Affiliates have to pay $9.99 every six month to be able to recruit and get paid. These fees will be paid thought the same 1-up plan we discussed above.

Localized City Portal Commissions

For an extra $10 per year affiliates can purchase what is called a Raining Dates city portal.

What is this?

Now that affiliate will now have a 25% cut of funds through profile promotion.  Basically a pay raise.

Raining Dates – Bottom Line?

Hmm, well, first thing I want to point out is Raining Dates no refund policy.  This can be found under there “terms of service” at the company website without setting up an account.

Here is a screen shot of that:

raining dates refund policy

I’m not a fan of when companies do this.  It’s not saying much for their product or service when they aren’t willing to give a refund.

For most people signing up they will find this out AFTER they spend they spend the $10 that it’s non refundable.

Most don’t read the fine print and Drobnick is not putting this in big bold letters when setting up your “free” account.

We are not 100% but pretty sure Drobnick’s website will be cluttered with advertisements just like his WOM website.

Raining Dates – Legit or Scam?

Overall structure of Raining Dates website looks to focus much more on the business side of things rather then user experience.

Affiliates pay the $9.99 fee every six months which is gifted 100% to Raining Dates affiliates. This tells us one thing.  The website favors affiliates in the hopes they will grow Drobnick’s company.

Unless the website gets a complete over hall it seems like it’s geared toward affiliates and making money.

Realistically it seems like Raining Dates members will become an affiliate or quit because the actually dating service sucks.

If that happens it’s just a matter of time before all members quit and recruitment slows down prompting a complete collapse.

Raining Dates at least has some kind of a service however it is borderline Ponzi!
