Tonight I want to talk to you about valuing yourself. I think this is a topic worth exploring a little more. We constantly hear people talking about how he doesn’t respect me or she doesn’t respect me or my boss doesn’t respect me. Whether you believe it or not I believe these people are taking these cues from you. So lets talk more about how to value yourself as a person.
Do You Really Value Yourself Daily?
People who don’t get respect from other people I think a lot of the time it’s because those same people don’t respect themselves. Everyday something or some force is asking you the most important question ever which is. How much good are you willing to receive today? However you answer this question determines on how much your going to receive.
I really liked this video by Nick. He spends a few minutes on this video about Valuing yourself and gives some great examples.
Think about it this way seeing that Mothers Day is this Sunday. How often do you send your mom flowers on Mothers Day? Well, I hope every year. But you also want to ask yourself this question. How often do you treat yourself to something nice? I can tell you that nobody gives me a better birthday present then I give myself. Or a Christmas present or whatever.
Remember, religion is irrelevant here. Birthdays, Christmas, Hanukkah, Easter, Ground hog day… If I see a holiday of any kind I’m going to give myself a present. Nobody is going to give me a better present than myself because I value myself. I show myself I’m worthy of treating myself. If your having a hard time being yourself check out this post where I share with you how to do that.
Giving Value To Yourself To Yourself Every Day!
So what is the message your sending the world about how your valuing yourself? Something to think about over the weekend. And to all the moms out there. Happy Mothers Day!
