Looking to finally make that step from employee to entrepreneur and take control of your life? If you know my story I have been in business since I was 8 years old. I dug clams, sold baseball cards, candy, clothes. I was always trying to earn money somehow. I was already out there trying to figure it out. One thing I knew for certain having a JOB wasn’t the way to go. Long term anyhow. I knew this in the 3rd grade.
Ya I had them. My first real job I worked at a construction company at 16. Painting the side of a pharmacy for 2 weeks straight in blistering heat with a 20 foot roller was eye opening. After those two weeks and second degree sun burns on my back I was DONE. Getting up at 5 am to paint some building in the middle of the summer just wasn’t happening. I knew at some point I’d be making that change from employee to entrepreneur.
Going From Employee To Entrepreneur Is About Desire!
I can remember thinking how can someone do something like this for their entire life. I remember seeing old guys still busting their ass. I knew one thing for sure. At 65 I’d much rather be at the beach then banging nails at some job site for $22 bucks an hour or maybe less.
Listen, I get it. Not everyone is fortunate enough to figure it out when they are 20 or have someone show them life isn’t about busting your butt to just make ends meet. And you gotta do what you gotta do to put food on the table and pay those bills. But I also believe it’s NEVER too late to make some changes and spend your life in your own way.
Soon after experiencing slave labor I worked in a restaurant. Washing dishes was almost as bad as the paint gig. Lasted 2 weeks maybe three. Can’t remember. Worked at schools, beaches, hotels, malls and a fishing boat. The hotel was fun. Was actually a lifeguard in the pool area. The girl behind the desk would give me the key to the kitchen and we would make some killer meals when the “boss” was gone. Was actually a fun at the time but $11 bucks an hour not going to get you far.
It’s a kids job so you can hang out with your friends and have some spending money to take a girl out on the weekends.
I can tell you something with certainty. JOBS SUCK. I’m a pretty upbeat person and could always find some fun in it. Wherever I worked people liked me there. But in the back of my head I always knew it was “temporary” and some day I would figure it out!
I can remember very clearly my family and people always questioning me. They always had something to say about me quitting some shitty job. I would get these responses. What happened to the job? Didn’t you like it? Why did you quit? What are you going to do now?
I mean seriously. WTF. I was 16. At the time I’m thinking to myself do people actually think I’m going to paint some building or wash dishes and like it? You gotta be kidding me. Even at the time I was making a heck of a lot more money doing things on the side that nobody really knew about. I was a hustler even at a young age.
But for some reason in middle class America if you don’t work some lame ass job everyone has something to say especially when your a teenager. Everyone has their “eyes” on you. At the time I was testing the waters and soon realized I was not like everyone else and I didn’t want to be.
I WASN’T BUYING IT AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU!
Funny thing is I have always been self sufficient. It wasn’t like I was asking anyone for money. What do they care if I work some shit job.
Then it dawned on me. They were trying to get me into the mode of being an employee and having a job. It was so obvious and I wasn’t having it.
Birds of a feather… u know… survival instinct sort of thing. Go to school, work menial jobs, go to college, get somewhat of a better job, work for 35 years, retire, and who knows after that. I knew something very early on. NFW!!
I came to the conclusion that working sucks and I never did it again. I am a natural born entrepreneur. It’s not that I’m unemployed I’m just unemployable. It’s not in me to go to a JOB every day, report to a boss, collect a check and do it all over again till I’m dead. LOL. I mean seriously.. who really wants to live like that?
Since I realized I couldn’t work for someone else I made the switch from “employee to entrepreneur”. I made money but never life changing income or something I could be passionate about. Then I found internet marketing in 2002!
After going through the typical ups and down I finally figured it out after a few years. I was earning very good income for years in lots of niche markets and network marketing companies.
Then it happened. I hit big momentum with a network marketing company. One day I earned over $30,000 in a single day. It was serious money. This is a real screen shot from my Solid Trust Pay account.
I was earning well over 100k per month. In fact, August 2012 was double that. Then out of nowhere the company got shut down and the checks stopped. It was an overnight thing and none of us saw it coming.
This hit me pretty hard. It felt like I worked my whole life for that moment all to come crashing down in one day. Riding on that momentum I built up another company very quickly to six figures in under 2 months. Again, shut down a few short months later.
The entire industry was in going through a strange phase with lots of HYPE biz ops popping up and lots of uncertainty in the market place. For me it was a good time to step back and for the first time in a long time get out of the trenches and reevaluate.
I started to realize these companies were either not legit or the SEC just didn’t like them. The last thing I wanted to be in was a scam or some shady business. I have built up a good reputation for years and not worth it.
I had a lot of savings and investments and decided to take 2013 off and spend it with family and friends. Was good for my mind. Did some traveling, met some incredible people and took a much needed break.
It was a great year but it was time to get back to work. This time around I promised myself I was going to invest in myself and not someone else’s company. It was time to build my own list. My own brand. My own blogs. My own marketing. Then look for a company I could grow with for years that made sense with my approach.
In 2014 I started to get heavy into internet marketing. I use to dabble but never fully engaged. After months of training and sharpening my skills I found exactly what I had been looking for.
Learn How To Go From Employee To Entrepreneur With MOBE!
I found Matt Lloyd and MOBE. It was like a light switch going off. I just knew this is exactly what I was looking for and something I could build for years to come. Watch this video and get a good sense of what Matt Lloyd and MOBE are all about:
After I went through Matt’s videos I got it right away. I knew exactly what he was trying to achieve.
One of the main reasons I joined MOBE was because of their products. MOBE products are big ticket. This was the thing I had been missing for years. My previous companies I had to sell a lot of products or sponsor thousands of people to make real money.
MLM and traditional affiliate marketing is just not for me. If you want to see a good comparison go here My Top Tier Business.
Most of my products were like $10 $20 or $30. You have to produce a lot of traffic and make a lot of sales to make any money.
Say you want to make a six figure income and you have two choices. Sell a $10 ebook or a $10k mastermind which one is easier or the quickest way. Of course it’s going to be the $10k mastermind. You only have to sell 10 to make a $100k vs selling 10,000 ebooks.
Yes it does take a little more effort to sell a $10k mastermind but it doesn’t take 1000 times more effort. Yet, that is the results when you sell a product that is a 1000 times more expensive.
The great thing about MOBE you don’t have to sell the high ticket product. They have a phone team that will do the sales for me. All I have to do is refer the lead to the phone team and let them take over. Now I get to live a life of freedom.
Being in the industry for 12 years and building teams of people in the tens of thousands I am approached all the time by companies and top producers trying to get me to promote their product. Most of them I never promote. Some of them I blog about or tell my readers about in social media or niche websites. Very few will I go beyond writing about and actually be a part of it.
MOBE is one of them I am a part of and there are two main reasons. Reason number one it’s not like a typical affiliate program like Amazon. When I send a customer to Amazon and they buy a product I make a percentage of the sale. Then Amazon will sell that customer additional products and I never see any of that commission.
I refer a customer to Amazon but I don’t get to keep the customer. Amazon keeps the customer. When I refer a customer with MOBE that customer is mine for life. So I get the initial commission for the first sale and any additional sales that MOBE makes to them I get commission as well.
So whether it’s today, tomorrow, next week or next year that customer is tagged to me for life. I make lifetime commission from that customer. If your looking for an online business plan whether your a seasoned professional or just a newbie MOBE is definitely a business for you to look at.
There phone team is here to help you. Their coaching team is here to help you. I’m here to help you. We have events all around the country. We do Masterminds and bring in amazing speakers to train and teach you.
