Seeing 2017 is just around the corner I put together my top 10 tips for a healthy lifestyle! I believe 2017 will be a banner year for a lot of people.

10 Tips Healthy Lifestyle – Foreword
Do you have any friends that have lots of bad habits? Or that person that just keeps adding more and more ‘things’ to their life they probably don’t need.
You may know people like this. If you’re lucky you RAN AWAY from them a long time ago because it was just another dysfunctional relationship.
I find in life that nothing is worth while unless you take risks. Sometimes it takes getting away from certain people and playing big.

There is no reason to settle for a life that is less than one that is capable of living!
Always remember to get something you never had you must do something that you never did.
Les Brown made an analogy. He talked about imagining you were on your death bed and around you are ghosts that represent your unfulfilled potential. The ghosts of the talents you never used. These ghosts are standing around you angry, disappointed and upset. They say we came to you because you could of brought us to light. Now we have to go to the grave together.
So I ask you today how many of these ghosts are going to be around your bed when your time comes?
You can’t live your life based upon what other people think about you. So don’t concern yourself much with what other people think.
If you’re going to get good at something it does take a while. There is one thing I have learned over the past 15 years that I enjoyed the same. That getting there is just as good as being there 🙂
10 Tips Healthy Lifestyle
So here is my top ten things you should give up list:
1. Give Up Unhealthy Living
Living a health life can be taken in small steps. Remember if you want to achieve anything in life and be around to enjoy it, everything starts here.
This is pretty easy to remember seeing there are only two things you must focus on.
- Healthy Diet/Living (Habits)
- Physical Activity
Don’t worry I’m not asking you to run a marathon. Just work on yourself every day and take things in small steps.

2. Set Long Term Goals
Successful people make long term goals. Just remember your success is the cultivation of a lot of healthy habits you do every single day.
These habits are not something you do they are something you become.
How many people do you know that want to lose weight for New Years or they want a better summer body? There is a big difference between working out to look good in a bathing suit and working out because that’s who you are.
3. It’s About Time You Play Big
Just remember one thing playing small DOES NOT serve the world. How many people do you know give up playing big? How many people do you know have big dreams or take on great opportunities? If you haven’t figured it out MOST DON’T and will NEVER realize their true potential.
If you are playing small the world will never benefit from what you could have achieved otherwise. It’s important you voice your ideas, don’t ever be afraid to fail at something new, and certainly don’t be afraid to succeed.

4. STOP Making Excuses
Every successful person knows they are responsible for their life and nobody else. Most everyone starts in the same place. Ground Zero.
No matter your starting point, weaknesses or past failures it’s time you take life on. It is the only way to succeed. Excuses only limit and prevent you from growing both personally and professionally.
If your frightened don’t worry that will soon turn to excitement. Just remember this. You must own your life because no one else will.

5. Toss The Fixed Mindset
If anyone has ever told you that you’re not intelligent enough or talented enough to achieve your goals they are wrong.
Intelligence and talent are not fixed traits and do not determine or create success. That is a fixed mindset and you need to toss that thinking.
Successful people know this. They ALL invest in themselves every single day. You need to acquire new knowledge, develop new skills and change your perception every day.
Always remember this. Who you are RIGHT NOW is not who you have to be TOMORROW.

6. The “Magic Bullet” Is A Myth
Successful people understand that working on themselves and their skill day in day out will compound over time. As they GROW into a leader and develop new skills and a new mindset they will achieve desired results.
Overnight success is a myth my friend.
Everyday you should play for the future and even if you improve just 1% every day you will eventually get there.

7. Pefectionism Stuns Growth
If you’re trying to get everything perfect forget about it. Nothing is ever perfect.
No matter how much you try there is no perfect time to take action. Fear of failure (even fear of success) can be crippling.
So many opportunities are lost because of waiting for things to be right. Put your creation out into the world.

8. Stop Being A Control Freak
Some things you simply don’t and in many cases won’t ever have control over. Detach yourself from such things and focus on the ones you can.
Differentiating between the two is a must.
Simply put, the only thing you have control over is your attitude toward something!

9. Start Saying No To All The Distractions
We all have them and if you’re serious then it’s time you make some sacrifices.
What I mean by this is being able to say not to tasks, activities, and demands from family and friends.
In the short term you will sacrifice a bit of instant gratification but it will be worth it in the long run.

10. Get New Friends
I always save my favorite for last and one of the most important for sure.
Giving up the toxic people in your life can have a DRAMATIC affect on who you become.
Take a good look around and ask yourself if you need to do some cleanup. People we spend the most time with truly add up to who we become.
With most things life the more time you spend with more ‘advanced’ people the faster you grow as a person. Always look for people smarter and better than you.
It’s better if you realize early on there is always going to be that someone that is smarter than you or outworking you. So search out those people and learn from them 🙂
