Becoming a Successful Entrepreneur Online

Many want to know how to become a successful entrepreneur but don’t always understand the process.  It’s no walk in the park trust me.

May 2002 was the year I would work toward becoming a successful entrepreneur but had no idea what was ahead of me.  There were some key lessons to learn and was not an overnight process.  I was lucky enough to learn from Bob Schmidt before he passed unexpectedly from an apparent drowning.  Bob was one of the greatest network marketers of all time and a successful entrepreneur for almost 30 years when we met.

Bob told me early on in this business that he had never known anyone to meet significant levels of success by doing it by themselves.  Becoming a successful entrepreneur was not for the weak and you had to model after other successful entrepreneurs to become one yourself.  For me that meant it couldn’t be done by myself, but more importantly that it didn’t have to be done by my efforts alone.

So I wanted to share 9 lessons I learned early on that led me to become a successful entrepreneur.

1. Clear and Measurable Goals to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

Make sure you set a clear and measurable goal that demands your best.  Lets face it, if it doesn’t challenge you and demand the best from you, why bother?

2.  Develop a Burning Desire to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

If you want to turn your goals into a reality you must develop a burning desire to make that happen.  It absolutely must be a passion.  The more passionate you are the more likely you will bring it to fruition.

3.  Put Blinders On to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

Always keep your eye on the goal.  Ever notice a horse in a parade with blinders on?  All you can see is forward!  Remember all distractions are equal.  They all keep you from reaching your goals.  Some may be legitimate, but still all equal.

4.  Stay Away From Dream Stealers to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

You must Refuse to listen to negativity, criticism, & cautions from family and friends that stop or slow you down.  I like to call these people dream stealers.  Unfortunately they can be the people closest to you.

5.  Surround Yourself With Encouraging Friends to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

Don’t take this lightly.  I am very serious about this.  Surround yourself with people who believe in & will support you & your goal.  When a first started a family member actually kicked my boxes of product and was very negative about what I was trying to do.  I had to stay away from that person until the checks started rolling in.  Nothing worse then negativity.

6.  Seek Out Mentors Who Have Been There to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

Work with people who have experience and success in the area you are working.  Take advice from only those whose results you want to duplicate!  Never let a broke person give you financial advice or an overweight and unhealthy person give you health and nutrition advice.

7.  Work On Yourself to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

Personal development is extremely important especially in the beginning.  Your business grows as fast as you grow.  Practice Self-Control!  Never let your emotions control your actions.  Stay focused.

8.  You Don’t Always Win when your a Successful Entrepreneur

In every defeat or failed attemp there is something to be learned.  Constantly search for the personal lesson and new approach.  Remember failure & defeat are an event an occurance, it NEVER means you are a failure or defeated.

9.  Have Belief to Become a Successful Entrepreneur

You must have absolute Belief that you can reach your goal!  It has been said in many ways “what the mind of man can see and believe, it can achieve.”  If you can see it you can reach it.  Every day build it and eventually you will get there.  Just believe in yourself and one day you will become a successful entrepreneur and build your dream business online.
